Kids Climbing

We are stricter than many other climbing gyms regarding our policy for children.

Please take some time and watch a video about climbing safety at Moumo.

For kids extra rules apply, stated here below. Please read all of them.

Babies are allowed into the climbing gym if they are kept in strollers or baby nests beside the mats.
No babies are allowed on the mats.

Children under 8 years old. The climbing at Moumo is not suited for children under this age. If a parent want to bring a child under the age of 8, you actively have to supervise the child.
By supervising your child, we mean that the child are not allowed to be more than 2 meters away from you at all times and all your focus is on the child, not your phone.
We have a one-child-per-adult policy. The climbing mats are for your and everybody else’s safety, it’s not for playing around on. Children under age of 8 pay entrance fee.

Children aged 8-12 are welcome to climb with an adult who also climbs together with them. We have a one-child-per-adult policy.
If the adult is a frequent climber and a monthly member, they can bring two children per adult. The adult need to supervise the child at all times, same as for children under 8 years of age. Children 8-12 years old pay entrance fee.

Children 13 yo and older are welcome to climb independently without an adult present. Some children under 13 may climb alone without an adults supervision if they are formally given an exception (following a maturity assessment and registration).

No Child under the age of 13 are not allowed to be in the weight room.

We encourage parents to climb together with their child so you both can get some exercise and have fun together!

The adult is responsible for their own and their child’s safety. They must ensure the child doesn’t run or walk under others who are climbing, as this can be dangerous for both the climbers on the wall and the child.

We recommend visiting Moumo before 17:30 on weekdays or weekend mornings, it’s less crowded and more space for you and your child.

If you (the adult) has never climbed before, we highly recommend booking an intro course, available on Saturdays. After this course, you and your child can climb together without staff.
